Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of OpenMediaTools. The service focuses on browser-based media tools and optional account-based or provider-backed features. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope of the service

OpenMediaTools provides browser-based tools for media conversion, editing, extraction, AI-assisted generation or modification, PDF handling, and social-media-related helper workflows. Some features run fully locally, while others depend on optional third-party services.

The website may change, suspend, remove, or add tools at any time, including experimental or provider-dependent features.

2. Eligibility and account use

You may use the website without an account for many local workflows. If you choose to sign in, account access is currently provided through Google only. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure and for all activity carried out through your signed-in session on this website.

Buying credits currently requires an authenticated account. Credit packages are sold as one-time payments through Stripe Checkout and are added to the signed-in account after successful payment confirmation.

Unless mandatory law says otherwise, purchased credits are non-transferable and non-interest-bearing. If you have purchased a package and used 30 credits or less, you are entitled to a refund of the purchase price. Simply email us at [email protected] to request your refund. If a payment succeeds but credits are not added correctly, please also contact us.

Credits purchased via Telegram Stars are non-refundable.

3. Permitted use

  • Use the service only in compliance with applicable law and the rights of third parties.
  • Do not upload, process, generate, or distribute content if you do not have the required rights or permissions.
  • Do not use the service to abuse infrastructure, bypass security measures, interfere with availability, scrape unlawfully, or test malicious payloads against the site or third-party providers.
  • Do not use social-media-related helper tools in violation of platform rules, copyright, privacy rights, or contractual restrictions.

4. Prohibited Content and AI Use

It is strictly prohibited to use the service (especially the AI tools) to create, process, or distribute content that violates applicable law. This includes, but is not limited to:

Depictions of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), hate speech, harassment, glorification of violence, discrimination, extremist content, or content that provides instructions for criminal activities.

Also prohibited is the creation of content that infringes on trademark, copyright, or personality rights of third parties, as well as the abusive creation of deepfakes or deceptive content without appropriate labeling where legally required.

5. Your content and responsibility

You remain responsible for the files, prompts, URLs, metadata, and other content you submit or process. You must ensure that your use does not violate copyright, trademark, personality rights, privacy rights, confidentiality obligations, platform rules, or other legal restrictions.

When local tools run in your browser, your files remain under your control on your device. When you intentionally use optional provider-backed tools, the relevant data may be transmitted to the necessary third-party provider to fulfill your request.

6. Third-party services

Some functions rely on external providers such as Cloudflare, Google, Hugging Face Spaces, Gradio-based services, or social media helper endpoints. The availability, output quality, speed, limits, and policies of those features may depend on those third parties.

OpenMediaTools is not responsible for outages, policy changes, output restrictions, moderation decisions, or account actions taken by those third-party services.

7. Availability and no guarantee

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent feature support, error-free operation, perfect output quality, or suitability for any specific purpose.

You should verify all results before using them in production, business, legal, medical, academic, or safety-relevant contexts.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of OpenMediaTools is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic damages, including lost data, lost profits, lost business opportunities, or output issues caused by local browser limitations, third-party services, user error, or incompatible source files.

9. Intellectual property

The website, its branding, interface, code, and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you except for the limited right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.

OpenMediaTools does not claim ownership of content that you upload or create through the service, but you must have the necessary rights to use that content.

10. Suspension and changes

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access to some or all features if this is necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, maintenance, infrastructure limits, or product changes.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means that you accept the revised Terms, unless mandatory law requires a different process.
